The present paper deals with the tracing of the solution manifold of boundary value problems in ordinary differential equations depending on a single free parameter. When tracing solution manifolds, usually a large number of boundary value problems have to be solved. Therefore, the choice of an efficient and reliable boundary value solver is a most important aspect. Here a collocation discretization for parameter dependent boundary value problems based on the techniques used in the collocation code COLNEW of Bader and Ascher is presented and its convergence properties are analysed resulting in a general purpose implementation COLCON. Numerical examples demonstrating the performance of the code are given. ment
